WordPress Admin Themes

So what’s the point of these - do people really need to look at their own admin panel in the exact color of their choice…?

Which means a whole load more work for the poor old theme designer, especially (as some might say) the default admin theme is seriously counter-intuitive.

Like Firefox skins - all in the aid of cosmetic meaninglessness…

Apollo beta

Apollo is a free WordPress theme with a few added user options This is a beta release, so there may still be the odd bug lurking - see below…

Features

  • 4 layout options - 2 column left/right sidebar, and 3 column with main content center or left.
  • Optional gravatars, (whether you’re using WP2.5 or lower - the gravatar plugin is not required.)
  • User comments separated from pingbacks/trackbacks.
  • Optional show/hide pingbacks/trackbacks.
  • Customize fonts (5 options, Arial, Verdana, Georgia, Trebuchet MS, Tahoma) and link colors
  • Choice of logo - or none.

Compatible with WordPress 2 upwards, including 2.5 and 2.5.1
The theme has been tested on Firefox 2,3 Internet Explorer 6,7 and Opera 9.

Beta testers wanted - feel free to give it a run on your system and please report back any bugs - if you have a weird non-standard system, all the better.
