WordPress 2.6 beta announcement
WordPress 2.6 beta is being talked about again - some might say before the bugs of 2.5 are sufficiently ironed out to warrant a jump to 2.6 - or perhaps that’s not how these things work nowadays.
There’s a whole heap of changes, again, mostly it would seem to the areas of previous concern, the tinymce editor (which certainly got a big lift from 2.5). The jquery library is also advertised with performance improvements - load slimmed down a bit…?
Moving wp-config out of the webroot catches the eye and looks useful - (not that you couldn’t before).
